I remember the coldest day I ever endured. Winnipeg. June and sleet, hail and rain. Welcome to the game. I met some of the finest people known to mankind and was proud to be of a member of the show of so many wonderful individuals. I still have Mrs. Miller shirts to this day.

I remember the first year Conko went west. I worked a center joint Crown and Anchor for John Miller. Then a trap at Calgary and Edmonton. Back to the CNE to run bballs in front of the Flyer. Never forget the friends I made nor the grueling schedule and weather.Winnipeg, June, sleet hail and rain. Coldest place I’ve ever been. But, what a blast and I’d do it all over again.

There are some people i forget to mention in previous posts. People I will never forget. Of,course Jim Conklin, Alfie Phillips, Johnny Miller (Mrs. Miller, the Tweeders, Henry Gooderham,Pat Little, Doug Baines, Suzie and Ray Coffin, Patricia (patty of course) Conklin, Norma Conklin (Jim's wife - Auntie Norma as I knew her), Frank Conklin, Sue Gravelle and her brother Mike, . And the list goes on. Greatest experience I ever had. Never ever met a finer group of people. There are some I would like to forget. Jack Phillips is one. What apiece of shit. Even Cliff thought so.

Had the pleasure of working with many great people from my first boss Michelle Ulinder in Guest Relations then moved on to E-tickets where i had 2 awesome boss's in John Gallant and Scooter. Met so many kewl people that worked the Rides and Games. Then it was sold and there was just to much politics involved and the fun was taken out of it, So i walked away from a good chance of taken on E-tickets. If it becomes Conklin again i'd be back in a heartbeat. Good Luck to all my friends that still travel. May the days be sunny and the nites clear. "STRAIGHT OUTTA CONKLIN"

I worked with Conklin in the summer of 2001 in the guest relations booth with my mom and my older sister. I actually only worked the last 4 days, because my mom's boss asked my sister and I too. I loved working for conklin.

I loved working with the show. I was pregnant at the time, and everyone was wonderful. To this day I still talk about my time with the show and the people that I was able to work with. Always had a smile on their face. Even though I didn't work directly with Conklin cause I was working for an independent owner. I will never forget the time that I spent with Conklin shows. I was able to see what the true family meaning was. Thanks to everyone who made it possible. Loved the show and will never forget...

what about the 1980 unit "Southern Comfort" unit when Frankie Jr. came to start that up and we took the show to Puerto Rico and Santa Domingo? I was married to Gil Johnson at the time from MJM Concessions and he and Bill Mason joined up with Frankie. Bill Rice was with us, some names I don't remember...twins. but we had good times while it lasted. The Mertens weren't too happy we left their show.
